The local church is where the “rubber meets the road” in making disciples who follow Jesus Christ. We believe the risen Jesus is alive and active in the lives of people today. We have chances everyday to encounter people and witness to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We do this through our faithful worship services every Sunday, through our special events, and as empowered individuals. We endeavor to “abide” in Christ. As John 15 records, Jesus describes himself as the vine and we ho follow are his branches. When we stay connected to Jesus we bear fruit in our daily lives.

The United Methodist Church, of which we are a part, is a global church of 11 million members. We believe in encountering the world with open hearts, open minds and open doors.

John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action. This emphasis on what Wesley referred to as "practical divinity" has continued to be a hallmark of United Methodism today.
