COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Youth Activities
The Fork-Waugh United Methodist Charge believes that providing enriching, Christian activities for youth is the key to our future.
These activities include:
- United Methodist Youth Group
- Sunday School
- Children’s Choir
- Vacation Bible School (held each summer at alternating churches)
Church Groups
The Fork-Waugh Charge hosts several church groups which provide fellowship and further the Christian mission of the charge. These include:
United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women visit nursing homes and shut-ins and gather for other social and supportive activities.
Pilot Club
The Pilot Club meets monthly for dinner and other social activities. The club also sponsors a yearly Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at Fork, the annual Church Picnic at Beachmont Christian Camp and a Christmas dinner at a local restaurant.
Boy Scouts / Girl Scouts
Fork Family Fun Nights
Family nights are designed for fun and fellowship with an appeal to all ages. They are usually held on the first Saturday of the month from September through April at 7:00 p.m.
Each family provides a snack which everyone enjoys along with fellowship and games. A few times a year we have a theme such as “Western Night” where we serve dinner, decorate and dress around the theme. These theme nights are held at 6:00 p.m.
In December we sometimes work on a mission project such as making cookies for “Manna House.” In February our youth group treats us to homemade pizza. We welcome everyone to these times of fun and fellowship!
